Biography:
Can you remember the last time you were blown away by a performance? Can you remember the last time you heard a song that instantly made you want to move? Can you remember a time when the goal of a band was to entertain and to make the audience laugh and have fun? Meet To Tell: one of the last artists who is still delivering catchy lyrics, remarkable skill, and an entertaining show you will never forget. To Tell is the musical voyage of Zach Havens, an energetic solo performer who is backed by a band of equal dynamism. Over the past year and half, Zach has sent heads turning and toes tapping across Canada and the United States with his first release “The sun is up and so am I.” This critically acclaimed EP resulted in coast-to-coast radio play, a country-wide tour, and an artist development deal with Joel Bruyere of Thousand Foot Krutch. Now, finally, after 3 1 hit songs (MORE RADIO CHR CHART), constant touring, and a brand new live show, To Tell is back with his debut full length album, “So Much More.” Recorded by Siegfried Meier (The Salads, Kittie, Holly McNarland) and mastered by Troy Glessner (Emery, Underoath, Anberlin), “So Much More” defines itself as a pop masterpiece, never sacrificing catchiness for musical depth. “A whirlwind of amazement is the best way to describe the past year and a half,” reports Havens. ”After releasing the EP, I was shocked to see how quickly the public embraced my songs. Since then, it’s been a coming of age tale as I’ve graduated from school, bought a house, become engaged to my incredible girlfriend Brittanie, and now I’m setting forward on the next incredible adventure that is To Tell.” When queried about the inspiration for the title of the album, Zach responds, “Too often in life we settle for mediocrity. We get the job that’s comfortable. We get the life that’s comfortable. We are comfortable in our relationships with God and those around us. So Much More is a call to break out of the mediocrity and always be on the look out for what’s next, because as I’ve learned since my last release, it takes being uncomfortable to break out of the ordinary.” And break out of the ordinary indeed. This brand new album not only is drenched in passion and emotion, but it races at the listener with walls of guitars, vocal harmonies that soar to the sky, and, of course, Zach’s signature piano notes that drop through the floor.
