About:

The debut solo record, Anthem Song, from Aaron Gillespie (former Underoath drummer, front man of The Almost), is already generating a strong buzz amongst his loyal fans. Fans can experience a taste of this album with the debut radio single, “We Were Made For You” (co-written with Paul Baloche. “I’ve always wanted to make a record like this. The Almost is a rock band, and we didn’t want to mix the two styles,” Aaron begins to explain. “I have this desire to see our generation worshipping God. But a lot of the people I get to meet through music kids with tattoos and swoop over haircuts don’t think of worship as `cool.’ I want them to find a home and a vocabulary to experience this kind of music.”

I love this album already. Im so glad he finally did something like this. <3

  2. Matthew says:

Yes, i agree with you David.. the album sounds pretty good.

  3. Doozer says:

Album is quite boring. Also, his tallit in the picture is not Biblical–it does not have blue cord in the tassels.

  4. @Doozer says:

@Doozer, Um his tallit is just a scarf, you know to keep his neck warm? He’s not Hebrew or Jewish, just wearing clothes…
Also the album is very good, really awesome to see how his music has moved and changed and how his heart is now to praise and worship god

  5. David V. says:

It is nothing radical, but I mean it’s a worship album and it is Aaron Gillespie. That is awesome. He has obviously come a long way and I am so happy to see (hear) it. =)
