About “Lost Boy”:

Madison, Alabama’s MyChildren MyBride will release its new album, Lost Boy, on June 8 via Solid State Records. The follow-up to 2008’s critically acclaimed Unbreakable was recorded at Glow In The Dark Studio in Atlanta, Georgia by producer Matt Goldman  (Underoath, Copeland, The Chariot). The new record recalls both the vehemence and sincerity of Unbreakable while progressing in musical maturity. “Musically it’s about writing what was in our heads at the moment,” guitarist Robert Bloomfield states. “We went in with the thought of ’if we are going to be playing these songs for the next two years on tour, then we want them to be really fun for the live show.’”

“From day one,” Bloomfield adds, “it was like Matt Goldman was already in our heads. He saw what we wanted and tried to help us create it. The man has the best sense of humor. The most fun I’ve ever had in a studio.”

Unbreakable has sold more than 30,000 copies in the United States alone, and has generated two music videos. MyChildren MyBride’s most recent released clip for the song “On Wings of Integrity”, shot at The Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke, Massachusetts, received over 60,000 views in less than 24 hours.

MyChildren MyBride has been touring nonstop since the release of Unbreakable in 2008, and shows no signs of stopping yet. With a hectic touring schedule both leading up to and following the release of Lost Boy, MyChildren MyBride is sure to be busy in 2010.

Release Date: 2010

Label: Arms Out Digital
Location: Philly/NYC/Atlanta, Pennsylvania

About:

Not many artists can say that they may become responsible for sparking the next phase in the evolution of an entire genre. If things continue to transpire the way that they are Japhia Life may be that very artist. Born and raised in Philly by his father a bible teacher, and his mother a gospel singer and pianist. By age fifteen Japhia found himself headed down the wrong path, and eventually sitting in a dope house focused on living out his street dreams. Eventualy Japhia realized that his ability as an emcee could provide the escape from the trappings of his environment that he so desperately needed. In 2001 he inked a deal with a Los Angels based indie hip hop label called Ready Rock Records, and released (Pages of Life) which was compared to (Illmatic & Reasonable Doubt), and hailed a hip hop classic in the underground hip hop market.

Weaving creativity with heartfelt lyricism has proven to become an explosive combination in terms of his fan base. He was recently featured in an article in (URB Magazine) that starts off by mentioning him as being the heartfelt voice that will be heard by this generation, and the future of Hip Hop. “It’s humbling to be named among the next generation of artists. But I’m really just trying to convey a message and impact this generation.” He has been generating a firestorm of interest, making his own lane and using the Internet to brand himself as an artist by releasing mixtapes which contain all original material and production by Hip Hop notables, as well as launching his blog “Everyday Dropoff”, (www.everydaydropoff.blogspot.com). He is currently in the process of working on his highly anticipated album “Westside Pharmacy”, writing a novel, and setting up domestic and international tours. “I remember a time in my life when I thought I may not make it to see 18, so for me to leave my city, and go around the country and over seas, and see the response is mind blowing. I know that God has a purpose for my life, and that I’m in this industry for a reason.”

Addison Road - Fight Another Day [Single] (2010)

Artist: Addison Road
Single: Fight Another Day

Album: Stories (out June 22nd, 10)
Release Date: May 25th, 2010
Style: Rock / Indie / Pop
Label: INO/Columbia Records
Location: Dallas, TX

Addison Road: Ryan Gregg, Travis Lawrence, Jenny Simmons, Ryan Simmons

Addison Road Biography:

Addison Road’s combination of alternative pop/rock and Christian sensibilities took root in 2001, when Baylor University students Jenny Chisolm and Ryan Simmons (now married) were approached with a lucrative offer to play a youth group event. Although the two did not have a band, they quickly assembled a lineup comprised of Travis Lawrence, drummer Jeff Sutton, and guitarist Ryan Gregg. The gig was successful, and Addison Road continued onward as a quintet, relocating to Dallas after graduation to hone their songwriting skills and lead worship at a local church. With Jenny Simmons’ vocals at the forefront, the band toured relentlessly and released three independent recordings (Always Loved You, Breaking Beautifully, and Some Kind of Spark) before signing with the Christian label INO Records in 2007. Their self-titled debut for INO arrived the following March, buoyed by the success of “All That Matters” on the country’s Christian charts.

About “Fight Another Day” Single:

Fight another day, if you talk to any of the guys from the band they’d say “yes, it’s been a hard year” but they’re staying there, they on their feet, those guys are genuine. They still love the Lord and they are not bitter, not broken. And you know you have those moments when you just get in bed, cry and enjoy your ice-cream and say.. “Lord, i’m done”, “take care of my kids my family. I’m staying in this bed forever!”. And we all have those moments but than God put’s us up, just get up! whatever job you do, you have a life! you’re alive! you’re breathing!… welcome back! like fight another day.

Addison Road: Ryan Gregg, Travis Lawrence, Jenny Simmons, Ryan Simmons

And we meet this people across the country and with incredible stories and most of them bring up these really hard times, like: deaths & cancer. These things are just heart-wrenching, but than you see something coming over their face and they say “No, the Lord is carrying me, I’m going to live, I’m still going to be a good dad for my kids even though my wife died in a car wreck. I will fight because I’ve been given my breath, I’ve been given this day” …and when you see people like that, they are inspiring. Hearing this song Fight Another Day you just want to scream unto the world and give it to every broken down Pearson that would just look at their pain and their problem in the face and say… “Bring it! because I’m going to fight, today I’m standing up. You can try to knock me down but I’m going to get back up again.” – Jenny Simmons

Quiet Science – [With/Without] (2010)

Artist: Quiet Science
Album: [With/Without]
Release Date: May 4th, 2010
Style: Alternative / Rock / Indie
Distribution: Paper Thin Media

Label: Quiet Science / Independent
Location: Merritt Island, FL

About:

Floridian alt-rock quartet Quiet Science has had a short existence, but is every bit as ambitious as any top rock act. Shortly after their previous band broke up, drummer Robert Williamson and singer/guitarist Nathan Walter recruited Robert’s sister, Daisy, to play keys and formed Quiet Science in the spring of 2008. After a few member changes, the group’s close friend, Jacob Kaufman was asked to play bass. In early 2009, the group released their debut EP, He Calls Me Diamonds and quickly hit the road, playing just about everywhere they could. Within a few months, they developed a substantial following in the southeastern United States and around their home base in Florida.

They were invited to play festivals such as Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois and performed/toured with such artists as Underoath, Sleeping At Last, Anberlin, and mewithoutYou. After a very busy year, the band wrote a collection of songs and hit the studio.

Quiet Science’s first full length album [With/Without], the product of the studio sessions, is a collection of stories, both real and prophetic. Lead singer Nathan Walter, who works in the suicide watch unit of a hospital, has seen his share of experiences. “Everything I write ends up sounding like a story,” recalls Walter. “I don’t mean to; I think I just have a lot of stories to tell.” The songs on [With/Without] are the mouthpiece of Walter’s experiences, but permeate with hope, love and courage in the face of despair. Songs like “The Ghost and The Grave”, “Queen Elisabeth”, and “Magnetism” are upbeat and hopeful but are laced with honesty and tenacity. With influences ranging from U2, Radiohead and Mew, the band’s sound lands somewhere between Shiny Toy Guns and The Sounds but with its own pair of legs to stand on.

[With/Without] finds the balance between a drum-driven brand of alt-pop-rock and deeper, more atmospheric moments coupled with lyrics and melodies you can’t get out of your head that will quickly become a favorite among many.
