The Violet Burning is an indie Christian rock band. They are most well known for their contributions to nonstandard “praise and worship” music – unlike most popular church music, The Violet Burning employs unique and unrepetitive lyrics and song structures. The band’s willingness to explore darker sounds and lyrical themes has won them a very devoted cult following – and unlike many obscure Christian bands, the respect they’ve earned extends far beyond the bounds of the Christian subculture.

Missions and Music 2009

Year 3 of Music for the Masses: Projekt Czech, Poland, Deutschland, Nederlands sorry if the rest of this gets to be rambling, but we are so excited about what God is doing in Czech and further east.

Czech/Poland: if you do any research on the Czech Republic, you will see that they are currently listed as the most atheistic country in the world. Up until this past easter, they didn’t even have a bible in their current dialect. with this in mind, and some doors opening for us, we have been going the past few summers to Czech and Poland, which are very poor countries as you may know, and we have been going into whatever doors are opened for us, even if they can’t cover simple things like our travel costs.
