Lybecker - Until We Feel Alive (2009)

Artist: Lybecker
Album: Until We Feel Alive
Release Date: December 8th, 2009
Style: Alternative Rock / Pop / Powerpop
Label: Unsigned / Ethos Records
Location: Seattle, Wa
Sound Like: Switchfoot

About:

There’s something about Lybecker that makes you not want to stop listening. It could be the fact that Dewey’s voice sounds like a cross between Fergie and Jesus. And when Dan plays the bass some people swear he takes on the shape of a unicorn. Chris used to work at a college as a janitor and solve equations professors would leave on their black boards. But it’s probably just that when you’re around the band, everything is good.

People seem to love Lybecker not only because they have a great sound, but because they are great guys. Their music sounds like Third eye Blind hit switchfoot with a guitar and went to jail where they were cell mates with Shane and Shane and played basketball with David Crowder band.

“Our goal as a band is to inspire people, to challenge them in there everyday life. To let them know no matter how bad it gets and what exactly is goingon in their personal life that there is always hope.” says the band. SBR is looking to bring their energetic live show and message to the masses.

Sent By Ravens Members: Zach, Andy, JJ, Jamie, Dane [3]

Reviews & Opinions:

“I saw these guys a couple of months ago at a club in Raleigh, NC. I really loved them playing live so I was really anxious to get this. The lyrics and vocals are incrdible and they do a fantastic job of blending the heavy with the melodic. “Killing the Faith” is a really inspirational song and even though I’m agnostic I can still identify with it. If you get a chance to see them in a club setting, take it! They have a lot of energy and put on a great performance!” – jaggerfury

After Edmund - Spaceships And Submarines (2009)

Artist: After Edmund
Album: Spaceships And Submarines The Lively Sessions
Release Date: December 4th, 2009
Style: Alternative / Rock
Label: After Edmund / Independent
Location: LaGrange, Georgia

About:

Spaceships & Submarines: The Lively Sessions captures the Grammy® nominated band After Edmund in their element. Crossing live performance with a studio session, Spaceships & Submarines is sure to be a staple to current After Edmund fanatics as well as win new fans with the band’s artful music and singalong melodies and lyrics. “This is really a bob-your-head kind of project” exclaimed Yates, one of the quartet’s members. “That’s just where the music is taking us. We’re moving towards a vibe that’s all about making people feel good. Life’s to short to be Emo,” He said with a wink and a smile. Listeners will agree, Spaceships and Submarines’ music will find you singing along by the end of each song, and to the brave (or those home alone), dancing along with the band’s infectious textures.

The album includes eight tracks. After Edmund reaches back to their Grammy® nominated debut release to pull three of the tracks – Clouds, Thank God and Like a Dream. The latter of which receives a complete makeover. Presented as a remix of Like a Dream, Dear Helen sees the band completely on keyboards giving a unique twist to a fan favorite. Spaceships & Submarines also delivers two instrumentals while four brand new songs make their debut and prove that After Edmund is here to stay as a force for good in the world of music.

Reviews & Opinions:

This album exudes musical brilliance! Catchy lyrics with a clever blend of instruments and futuristic electronic notes. Money well-spent! I promise you will love every second of Spaceships and Submarines. I’m looking forward to the full sophomore album – how could it get any better?! Keep the music coming guys!
