Josiah James is a multi-instrumental Christian artist who was called to his singer-songwriter career at the age of only 14. Boasting natural vocal talents as well as advanced skills as a guitar and piano player, Josiah released his first full-length CD, “Alive in the Studio” at the age of 16. In the two years to follow, at only 18 years old, he delivered his second project, “Awaiting the Morning.” Both records were well received by fans and it has become apparent that Josiah’s faith and talent are catalysts to his unique ability to write songs that connect with his audience on a highly personal level.

Following the praise of “Awaiting the Morning” Josiah’s next project was becoming highly anticipated by fans, and in late 2007 Josiah’s first full band single, “Reaching for the Stars,” recorded by Pendlwood Studios (John Reuban, Spoken, Inhale/Exhale, Seabird, House of Heroes) was released. It is seldom now that you find fans not singing along with Josiah at his shows, his songs are catchy, well written, and have become the anthems to many peoples lives.

In Spring 2009, Josiah released his latest and most developed project to date, a debut full length, full band album titled, “The Morning Light.” Produced and recorded by Cobly Wedgeworth (Bidwell, Method Echo, Hazel & Vine), the CD features a side to Josiah many haven’t heard before. “The Morning Light” is the perfect marriage of both the intimacy of Josiah’s singer-songwriter abilities and the dynamic sound a full band possesses. With “The Morning Light,” the diversity of his song writing, vocal range, and musical talents by his side, Josiah is now ready to move into the next phase of his career doing exactly what he was called to do.

Misty Edwards has been a worship leader and song writer at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City since May 1999; it’s beginning. Her hunger for reality and depth of encounter with Jesus fuels her worship leading, songwriting and preaching. Misty is on the leadership team that trains and gives oversight to IHOP’s worship leaders and prophetic singers.Misty says, “I have a great desire to see the knowledge of God flood this generation. I mean the real knowledge of God, not the distant Sunday School version but the true encounter with the Uncreated. I have devoted my life to searching Him out through His Word, prayer and fasting, and to ask Him to reveal Himself in my day and time. There’s no other point for my existence but to touch the Transcendent. I believe that this is the generation who will usher in the Son of Man as we intercede from our highest identity as a Bride crying out, ” Come!” unsatisfied with anything less than Him. As Eternity breaks in we will awaken the Dawn with a song and the Morning Star will rise to have His inheritance on this planet! This is all I care about.

When Stephanie Smith got her first glimpse of the father she’d desperately missed all of her 14 years, her heart was in her throat. She waited breathlessly as he greeted her mother and her brother, then finally turned to Stephanie. But his words were anything but the healing she’d dreamed of for so long. He said, “And this must be Priscilla?” In the aftermath of that meeting, Stephanie processed a great many life lessons. Following a spiritual reality check she experienced while singing with a rock band she joined during college, a fateful door was opened for Stephanie to travel overseas. “I ended up going to Guatemala on a mission trip. If anyone is struggling with pride or self-righteousness,” she laughs, “you need to go haul cinder blocks up a mountain. The hard work will cure you!”

Her compelling redemption story drives the hope-drenched lyrics and gutsy honesty of Not Afraid, a debut overflowing with solid pop rock anthems, all written or co-written by Stephanie. Her raw vocals shine on the fiercely-delivered “Superstar” while the pop-rock track “Beauty” directs toward peace within. One listen to the thick guitars of the powerhouse title track “Not Afraid” makes it obvious that Stephanie is a rock chick at heart. The catchy breakup song reminds what relationships are really about. And on the stunningly vulnerable piano ballad “First Words,” she opens up about that first encounter with her father. Smith and producer Jamie Moore worked together to accomplish the perfect mix of immaculate arrangements and captivating lyrics. Producer Chris Stevens, known for his work with Tobymac, Sanctus Real, and Group 1 Crew, added his hand to the standout “Renew Me.”

Beyond the music, Stephanie ministers regularly with Soles4Soles, a Nashville-based non-profit that facilitates the donation of shoes to the hurting worldwide. She also has a long-standing relationship with the Pure Freedom founders—at age 13, she attended their very first sexual purity retreat. “I still wear my pearl around my neck today,” she shares, “and it’s been neat to come around full circle and now partner with them.”
